Qualified Carpenter/Builder

This position is full-time or contract, 40-50 hours per week.

Wage is negotiable depending on experience.

As an employee for Buller Builders Limited, you will be required to run crews during construction of residential new-builds, renovations, commercial work, pole sheds, re-roofing and landscaping jobs. This can include laying foundations, erecting framing, cladding and roofing with materials such as timber and concrete, as well as general site work, support and labouring as required.

This position is located within the Buller Region, primarily Westport. However, you must be flexible to occasionally work and stay further afield within the Buller Region (Punakaiki, Reefton and Karamea) and wider West Coast.

Travel, accommodation and an overnight allowance will be paid in these situations.

Ideal candidates:

• Full drivers licence (preferably)

• Able to read and interpret plans

• Can provide own transport to job site locations within Westport area

• Has an eye for detail

• Has a great work ethic

• Punctual

• Trustworthy

• Be able to fill in basic paperwork when required

• Have good time-keeping skills

• Can comply with legal obligations and Health and safety requirements
